Hi, I’m Shiva — the founder and designer behind Shiva Ranam Couture. Born and raised in India, I moved to New Zealand in 2019, carrying with me a deep appreciation for art, culture, and timeless craftsmanship. Alongside my full-time corporate career, fashion design remains a deeply personal creative journey inspired by my childhood and cultural roots.
Growing up surrounded by Indian hand embroidery, traditional jewellery, richly crafted sarees, and temple architecture — much of it through my mother’s artistry — inspired me to pursue a diploma in fashion design before beginning my new chapter in New Zealand.
Every piece I create is designed as a story in couture form, blending elegance, individuality, and thoughtful craftsmanship. My designs carry subtle reflections of my heritage while ensuring each garment feels refined, meaningful, and uniquely personal to the wearer.

From personalised consultations to made-to-measure garments and couture finishing, every piece is crafted with precision, care, and attention to detail. Whether it is a bridal ensemble, festive attire, occasional wear or the recrafting of an existing garment, my goal is to create timeless pieces that feel refined, meaningful, and uniquely personal.
